Roxanne said deliberately, “about the time pigs become bush pilots in hell.”     Jamie must have seen something in her expression. Something Roxanne herself had no idea her face was broadcasting because he shot out of his chair like he’d suddenly discovered he was sitting in a big pile of fire ants. His preemptive strike couldn’t prevent the inevitable, though.     One second, the champagne flute was aimed for Roxanne’s mouth and the next, it changed directions. She flung out her hand and the juice arced over the table like an orange rainbow. A bit splashed Jamie’s extended arm, but the rest rained down on Ashton’s head and over her shoulders and chest.     Oh, Lord.     No one moved until the glass hit the table and exploded into a million shards. Then, the dog started barking as though he were being chased by a rottweiler. Ashton sputtered, Mr. Herman tried mopping up and Jamie began cussing in what sounded like three different languages.
