“Dad had spent the day doing yard work, and was now ready for a late lunch. I left them to it and headed for my room, wanting some time alone before I started to get ready.I smiled as I hung my new dress from the hook on the back of my door, smoothing the material under my hands. After gathering all the accessories that I wanted to wear it with, I lay down on my bed and stared at the blank ceiling. I had to relax a little before I could process all of this.
