Hank had apparently taken too much blood, but it had tasted so good and he’d been unable to control himself. As far as he knew, humans constantly resupplied their counts and hopefully Hank hadn’t gone too far.
He carried the male to the couch and laid him on it. So much for claiming his mate. He still could, of co...urse, but Hank preferred a conscious mate to claim, not one sleeping off the effects of too much blood loss.
He also knew the question the human was about to ask.
If he was only marking Remy, why did he drink so much? Hank had left out the part about how taking his blood would bind them together and would also allow Hank to know where Remy was at all times. Now all Hank had to do was have Remy drink some of his blood and the binding would be final. Hank had already sensed unease in the human, so he didn’t want to add more fuel to the fire.MoreLess
