It felt good to have Elijah know. There were only two things she’d ever kept from him, and this was the biggest. The other - well - that was her business.
Elijah was Maggie's person. He was her best friend, her family. But something had changed between them. With everything that had been going on in the past couple weeks, the only place Maggie felt safe, sane, was in his arms. She didn't like the feeling. She was supposed to make herself feel safe. She shouldn't need someone else for that.
