For a while the fisherman had lain awake worrying that others, knowing of this nocturnal excess, would locate them by the simple expedient of listening at the door.
The second, third and fourth times were disturbances outside, all from the same direction. The second involved a great deal of crashing about, accom...panied by the breaking of timber, while the third and fourth sounded like fist-fights of some magnitude. They emerged from their hut some time before dawn to see the entire day shift standing in a circle around the alchemist’s hut, or what remained of it.
