Bright Eyes and her sister Dr.Susanne La Flesche Picotte, the first Native American woman physician, were the daughters of the Chief of the Omaha Indians. The sisters recount tribal history and family stories in this small classic, first issued in honor of the Trans-Mississippi & International Exposition and Indian Congress held in Omaha, Nebraska in 1898.
