“She wouldn’t have expected to be able to sleep at all. She did, though. She slept straight through until she was vaguely aware of Jake moving beside her. She was feeling cozy and clingy, so she tightened the arm that was draped over his stomach, afraid he was trying to get up. He wasn’t, though. He must have just been readjusting because his arm tightened around her too. “What time is it?” she mumbled, unable to even open her eyes and make sure it was still dark. “Too early to get up.” She felt... him stroking her hair and back. “Go back to sleep.” “M’kay.” She pressed a little kiss on his chest, since she wasn’t awake enough to guard her actions.
