““I believe Rita and I passed the killer on the road yesterday,” she began. “Right off Highway 25. When we were on our way to Everson’s trailer. But we didn’t get much of a visual. “I looke...d at the rearview mirror as he passed, just out of habit,” said Darla, “but his SUV was kicking up too much dust from the gravel road for me to get a read. A silver SUV, with Mississippi tags was all I could tell.”
“Any prints at the scene?” Shelby asked.
“Another glove job,” said Darla.
