“Her idea to surprise Teagan and Justin had completely and quite thoroughly backfired. She'd spent the last three weeks imagining the welcome she would get when she arrived, and she was pretty sure that none of her scenarios included her sitting tiredly on the front step waiting for them to get home.
She'd been here for two hours, discovering rather belatedly that she should've called them and let them know her travel plans. When she'd reached for her mobile and dialed Teagan's number, her phone... had made a happy chirpy little sound and switched itself off, and of course, because she had wanted to surprise them with her arrival, she'd organized for her stuff, which included her mobile charger, to be delivered tomorrow.
Standing up, Bec stretched the kinks out of her muscles and decided it was about time for a plan B.
