I sat up on the couch and wiped the sleep from my eyes. Fought the urge to throw up.
“I was hoping to take a shower. Maybe make some coffee.”
“No time! You’re the one wh...o had to sleep so late.”
“Late? What time is it?”
“Oh-six-hundred.”
“Six o’clock? That’s earlier than I’ve ever been up.”
“Better get used to it. You’re on military time now. Up at the break of dawn. Maybe even before, depending on your mission.”MoreLess
