The atmosphere of this last scene reminded me strongly of life in Quakerdom.
We four male monastics were on display, embarrassed, robeless, and quite unmonklike, in our Sunday suits. Prabhavananda wore his robes for the occasion, and only he seemed at ease, beaming and delighted because Maharaj’s work was going forward, the Center was growing bigger.
