You mean why did I go up to the administrative office in the middle of a performance?’ ‘Precisely.’ ‘I went because I was worried about what Tony was going to do.’ ‘You suspected that he might be about to kill himself?’ ‘No. I suspected that he might be about to kill someone else.’ The detective sighed.
