“After turning state’s evidence he was a free man. He had told the police all he knew and had turned snitch on every hustler in the city he knew of; nobody was out of bounds. He figured that he was killing two birds with one stone by getting rid of the competition and negotiating his freedom. In return for the valuable information, he was given his life back. The D.A. publically dropped the charges against Mizan for lack of evidence. He would be the new hood star for beating the case, but in act...uality he was a rat.
Rich waited outside the county courthouse. When Mizan emerged they slapped hands and embraced slightly.
“Welcome home, baby boy,” Rich stated.
“Get me out of here, fam,” Mizan replied as they sped away. As soon as Mizan made it home he made his way to the kitchen and pulled a Corona out of the refrigerator.
