“He says my case is delayed due to a backlog and the difficult "adjustment problems'* of the current government. But he also says he could get my case to court, and, most important, approved, with relative ease and speed. He asks payment of six thousand Turkish lira. But not one lira until after completion and Fm at Izmir. And since the only way I can be transferred is for my four-year sentence to be approved, I find this arrangement trustworthy.
Perhaps you are wondering why. Easy to answer... — I think our other lawyers are doing absolutely nothing. They have failed to even reply to my three letters (one to Yesil in English, two to Beyaz in Turkish). I believe it to be essential to have someone in Ankara working on the case. I have less than six months left. If the case does not come up in Ankara by then, I remain here. I do not go free until a decision is made. You may find it hard to believe that could happen.
