He was lucky her neighbors, the tenants above and below her, didn’t call the cops and complain. It was like they didn’t even notice the huge hulk of a man demanding that she let him in. Perhaps she should have been worried, but for some reason, she didn’t believe he was going to harm her physically. The damage to her heart, however, was a whole other story.
