“Yes. What is it?” His voice cool and rushed. He listened and then said, “Don’t worry, I’ll be there in the morning. My jet can get me back to Manhattan in a half an hour. But getting out to your estate can be tricky.” What the fuck? He has a jet, my mind said in disbelief. What does he want with me? Another silly question. You are his one night stand and he has probably a lot of those. So climb into your big girls’ panties and enjoy yourself and let it go at that. I took my own advice and seized the moment and forgot about his phone call. He shut the phone off and looked at me with an apologetic smile.
