“The parking lot was empty except for Mark’s van, colorfully painted all over with Mark’s designs. The front door jingled as she walked in and closed it behind her.
“There’s my girl!” Mark grinned, motioning her to come around the counter to his work area where he sat sorting bottles of ink in a drawer.
