Tired, saddened and angry, Llandry at last rebelled. She was not bound to Pensould; if he no longer wanted her, she was more than happy to go her own way.
She slowed her pace and began to circle downwards, her exhausted wings screaming for rest. Pensould’s huge blue-scaled form gradually disappeared into the distance.
She came to rest on the ground and stayed, motionless, for some time.
