““Uncle Logan said he’d meet us in the lists.”
“Will you tell me what this is about? Is he going to beat me or something? He was not happy with me yesterday. I have no doubt the man is capable of giving me an arse whipping over your sister.”
“I think there are a few people ready to give you an arse whipping,” Torrian grumbled. “I’ve never seen my sire more upset than when she said she wished to move to Clan Grant. I had no choice but to assign someone else to protect her. Believe me when I say you must do as you’ve been ordered.”
“But how did she find out about your father’s request?”
Torrian shrugged. “It does not matter. She found out, as oft happens when such a thing is discussed.”
“I’d like to talk to her and explain my reasoning.”
“I’m sure you would, but you’ve been warned to stay away from her. And I’ll warn you that if you chase Lily away to Clan Grant, my sire and uncle will be less than happy.
