The rational part of Bill could see he had allowed himself to be fixated on a disturbing woman, long dead. One who’d wrecked his family and may even have murdered his father. But he could no longer believe she was all bad. There seemed to have been too many contradictions in her. Yes, she’d buried his father as an outcast, but there could be a reason for that he didn’t yet know.
