As the ground gets closer and closer, I bend my knees, making sure my feet aren’t in the instructor’s way while we land. With our shoes safely on the ground, he unhooks my harness from his own and sends me off to celebrate while he gathers the parachute.
Adrenaline courses through my veins, making my body vibrate deliciously. I walk towards Pete with a big ass smile plastered across my face. He steps toward me, away from his bike. He’s frowning, arms folded tightly across his chest.
Ignoring the sinking feeling in my stomach, I jog towards him while jabbing my finger up to the sky, still totally high on adrenaline. I shout to him since he’s still a few steps away, “Oh, my God!
