This guy is supposed to be impossible to catch because he knows every inch of the terrain they are in. Yet, he's allowed himself to be easily trapped with hardly any trouble on the part of the posse. AND another huge mistake, he left the reed pipe so that they'd know he was out of water and had to resort to sucha subterfuge thereby cutting this rmemdt off for the future. Also he threw away his empty canteen, so when he finds water what will he carry it in??
A crappy story full of holes, like most of Lamour's stuff.
