“At dawn, they reached the hovel Horge and Yiri named home. After supplying Rathe and Loro with a meager bite of food and a skin of water, the odd pair bustled them back outside. Yiri admonished them to keep a sharp eye for pursuers, then slammed the door in their faces. Rathe was of the mind that the villagers had turned back long since. “I don’t trust Yiri,” Loro said bluntly. Rathe looked over the rudimentary pile of rock and timber where Yiri and Horge lived.
