Why do men always have to bring up the color of my hair? If I’d been a blonde, a guy might have mentioned that every once in a while, but Ramsey never would have asked, What did this brunette tell you? Never in a million years.
I don’t know why that crazy thought crossed my head just then, but it did. I ignored it and said, “I didn’t tell her anything. We were just making small talk like you do when you run into an acquaintance in a hotel hallway.”
