“ She wasn’t allowed to just leave whenever they fell out. Edward lost his train of thought slightly as he nearly fell out of his chair. She was the one who had wanted to marry him after all! “Women,” he slurred, before barking at the servant to leave him alone, not bothering with a glass as he took a long swig of whisky. He wanted to numb his thoughts.... He wanted to numb the pain.
