The door to the bathroom opened and Darius held his breath as she came over to him with the white plastic test in her hand.

“Well,” he said. “Maybe this is for the best. We’re going to have the rest of our lives to have a family.” Darius pulled Celina into his arms and hugged her tightly.
“Are you disappointed?” she asked.
“I don’t know,” he replied. “You know what, it’s okay. Now we should really talk about children and our future.”
Celina kissed Darius gently and led him into the living room to the sofa. “You’re right. I do want children and all of that, but I will not be a stay-at-home mother.”MoreLess
