“Shut up.” Megan was out of patience. She wiped her eyes with the backs of her hands.

At the sink, she splashed water on her face then dried it with a scratchy paper towel. Turning to leave, she pushed past Brielle while she dialed the boss.
“Harvey? I’m not feeling very well. Nothi...ng serious. I’m going home. I can work from there. You have my number in case you need to reach me.”
