“I hated this place. The guy was a complete douche bag and yet, people flocked to his parties. Free booze is free booze, I guess.I couldn’t wait to surprise Paisley. The boss told me to take the night off, and for that, I was thankful. I hadn’t been able to see much of my girl lately, and I was ready to have some much needed TLC with her. Well, as much as I could since her friend was in town.Entering the house, the scent of alcohol and drugs welcomed me. Not long ago, I would’ve been all about joining in, but I gave it up in hopes to never be like my parents and to be the one person Nate could always look up to in his life. It wasn’t easy.
