Irwin Edman (1896 Ä1954) was an American philosopher. He was a professor of philosophy at Columbia University. In addition to writing philosophical works, Edman was a frequent contributor to literary magazines such as The New Yorker, the Atlantic Monthly, the New York Times Magazine, Harper's, and Commentary.
