“Stop it, you ingrates!” she ordered.
The pugs stopped jumping, but continued to sniff the butler’s shoes.
“I’m sorry, yer grace.” The butler wrung his hands. “I know ’tis late, and ye’re weary, but ’tis Lord Sinclair.”
