Livvy had to repeat the question twice. Jen was so relieved to have her daughter back unharmed that she wasn’t able to do anything but hold her, warming Livvy’s cold hands in her own.     “He’s resting upstairs, honey,” she said, hoping Livvy wouldn’t see the lie in her face.
