She stared through the windshield as they reached the macadam and turned toward Deer Run. This excursion hadn’t netted much in the way of helpful information, and it had increased the tension between her and Colin. She should have stayed home and waited for Benj and Mandy to get back.
Would Benj have spoken to Daadi by now? And if he had, how would Daad have reacted? It was possible that he’d feel she had been interfering with family matters. If so, their relationship would head back down in a hurry.
