"Hero Tales and Legends of the Rhine" by Lewis Spence (1874-1955) the book that was published in 1915. Unlike other books this volume took only the purest form of the tales and not built on translations. The author tried to keep much of the mysterious atmosphere loved so much the German heart and a true conception of the spirit of German legend.
