“Cheekily giving him an extra little wiggle, she winked at Rachel as she spoke softly to him. The ear-to-ear smile on his face at Grace’s words told Rachel what she wanted to know. She continued sauntering through the club, getting a glimpse of Eli amongst all the bleached and highlighted heads currently surrounding him. She smiled, sympathizing with her poor handsome baby. She took slow, deep breaths, asked Ben at the bar for a club soda, and glanced over to see how Eli was doing. She noticed that he did not sit down in his chair when they did this and came to the realization that, if he sat, it gave them easier access into his personal space and they were more likely to put their hands on his legs or in his hair.
