In the past I would have enjoyed it, the crowds, the people, and the holiday festivities. Almost all of the shops and businesses closed for the duration, and on the eve of the festival the city was alive with lamps, people running from door to door, bringing moon-shaped pastries of almond cream to neighbors and friends.
