Fab glared at me and cut across two lanes into the driveway. Angie hung inside the window of a pick-up truck talking to a guy. She stuck her arm out and waved, her T-shirt soaking wet, and plastered to her ample-sized chest. She wolf whistled and Apple hustled around the side of the building.
I jumped out and Fab reluctantly followed. “You got anything new for me?” I asked Apple.
“You sure know how to pick crap tenants,” she said. “Angie,” she yelled, “I need help.”
Apple smelled lik...e beer and still managed to talk and wash the car in front of her at the same time. “Ron, your new tenant, got arrested at the music festival over the weekend.” She pulled her stringy brown hair off her neck into a ponytail.
That even got Fab’s interest; she stopped grumbling and stepped forward to hear every word. “For what?” she asked.
“Selling an eight ball at the gate to an undercover cop. Kathy and Ron like their blow. He got cuffed and carted to a booking bus; you have to wait until it gets half full and then they transport to the jail.”MoreLess
