“on 17 March, the feast of St Patrick, Gilligan walked into the Scheveningen Casino in downtown The Hague. Beside him were Meehan and one of his runners. Gilligan loved gambling and was clearly in his element.
To the casino’s patrons, he was an Irish businessman away from home and out celebrating St Patrick’s night.
