“Instead, she slipped the loose robe off her body and climbed into bed, giving her husband no more than a glimpse of her backside. She kept her lawn shift on and settled between the sheets, letting the covers drop to her waist.
Her husband swallowed, stilled in the act of removing his coat. “I was unaware they made fabric that thin.”
“It’s fine French lawn.”
“Can we buy some more?”
She glanced down at herself. The fabric was so fine that it merely outlined her assets, with no attempt at concealment. Her nipples poked against the material, and the way they grazed the linen made her all too aware of how much she wanted him. “We can buy as much as you wish, but I have several garments similar to this. They’re more comfortable in the summer months.”
“Not for me.”
His erection tented his breeches. She smiled, letting her gaze travel over him.
