Harber stood at the center island in his huge kitchen and sipped coffee from his coffee mug.  He was fully dressed, in a light-brown business suit that fit him with tailored perfection, and in jet-black Ferragamo wingtips that he crossed at the ankle, as he perused the morning newspaper.  His young son, Walter Robert Harber, was fully dressed too, in his black-and-white kindergarten uniform, as he sat at the kitchen table with Nanny, eating cereal and reciting, by memory, the Pledge of Allegiance.
