“Ari stated when he strolled into Ryan’s office. “I’ve been busy with wedding plans, but I want to talk to you. Do you have a minute?”
Ryan motioned for Ari to take a seat.
“I’m in love with your sister,” he stated. “Sage loves me in return.”
“She had made that clear to all of us,” Ari responded.
“Are you concerned that my intentions toward your sister are not pure?”
“I’m sure you would be just as concerned if the roles were reversed.”
Ryan had to admit that Ari was right.... He would try to protect his sister, if he had one. “You’re right.”
“I don’t want you to think that I have anything against you, Ryan. It’s just that I love my sister, and I don’t like seeing her get hurt.”
“I will never intentionally hurt Sage. Ari, I give you my word.”
