Some stalled traffic, but Pearcey knew the driving was mostly okay. Navigable at least. Some care needed here and there. He’d been driving round the city for the last few days and had been pleasantly surprised by the decrease in traffic. He detested urban driving. It wasn’t often that he felt like his life was being made easier. ...The fact that it required a cataclysmic event for it to happen took the shine off it somewhat.
