“I know before I even step out of my bed that it’s going to be a cold one, so I reach for my robe draped over the chair next to me, the cold air crawling its way up my arms and settling deep in my chest.
Holy shit it’s freezing... I jump and down, fighting to get the blood moving in my arms and legs, and opt for a hot shower instead. I smile to myself. My plan actually worked. I’m free today—walking out of the house will be no problem at all. Why are you just standing outside a door?” Her eyes are glassy. She grabs the door frame with her hand to stay balanced.
