“If they had known my true identity they would have been acting a lot happier than they were; they were clearly in for a shock when they found out. That they would find out felt inevitable, because I was too tired and beaten down to fight my way out of the trap this time. Besides, the amount of magic it would take would probably draw everyone’s attention, and then it wouldn’t matter anyway.
I sighed. There were eight of them that I could see and at least another four that I could sense.
