I rolled over and squinted at the clock. It was after ten. “Shit,” I muttered, as I hopped up out of bed.
It had been a late night with the rehearsal and then the dinner. We hadn’t stumbled in the house until after midnight.
Plus, I was partially hung-over after sneaking most of the leftover wine at the table.
Mom and several of her friends and sister-in-laws bustled around downstairs. It reminded me of that scene in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
