Today it served as home to an around-the-clock drug and hooker trade, with Greek not the primary language of its residents. Most people living there possessed the good sense to mind their own business. Kharon liked that. It lent him anonymity, invaluable in his line of work.
His mobile rang. It could only be one person, but he wasn’t call...ing from the secure landline. Kharon answered and waited to hear the voice on the other end.
“Kharon?”

Silence.
