I shouted, trying to find my way around.

Dean was, and will always be, my favourite, but I couldn’t let Ian know that. It would hurt his feelings. I knew I wouldn’t like it if one of them favoured the other over me.
    “Polo!” they both shouted, as I acted on the only sense I had. My ears pricked, telling me they were both behind me.
