It had to be a misunderstanding. Fin wasn’t a murderer. He wasn’t. I knew that, without a doubt. He wasn’t.
“What happened?” I asked, and he pulled back from me.
“I don’t want to talk about it.” For the first time since I met him, he looked and sounded like a little boy. A scared little boy who was forced to grow up and see things he wasn’t supposed to see.
