““Hey!” Jenny said. “I didn’t say you could do that.” She’d intended to shout at him, but the words had come out softly, mumbled and a little slurred. Her brain was still recovering from the effects of being stunned. Her mind, and her tongue, felt like rubber, and she was having a hard time marshaling her thoughts.
