“Ceylona seemed to have forgotten all about the dog—but I hadn’t. I knew how much she’d love having her very own dog, but I also thought it had the potential to cause all kinds of issues if we did have to leave. A few days after C...eylona’s birthday, I left her with Mom and headed to a large toy store. After looking at every stuffed animal they had, I settled for an adorable floppy dog with fur as soft as a rabbit’s. It had big reddish-brown glass eyes that were surrounded by long thick lashes, and a big black nose. And it was wearing a collar with a tag that read ‘Archie’. It was so soft and cuddly I found it hard to put down, so I hoped she’d like it too.
