“Brock cried out in shock and fear more than in pain. I grabbed the bitch’s head and yanked, unintentionally forcing her to rip a hunk of Brock’s skin off in her teeth. Hayden stomped on the brakes and the truck veered off the road, bumping along the shoulder. Amy screeched and growled.
